Biography

Bianca Montoya is a puertorrican artist and muralist based in Puerto Rico.  Graduated from The University of Puerto Rico with a degree in Advertising and a minor in art, and she has more than 10 years of experience in the creative industry.  Bianca has been transmitting how important it is to embrace yourself through her project “Unusual Girls”.  This project started in 2015 with the idea of promoting women’s unique values and perspectives through fashion and eccentric glam.

Through this series of more than 300 versions of Unusual Girls, she has been able to represent real people’s essence through these distinctive portraits.  The project Unusual Girls has had the opportunity to also create social media campaigns and interactive murals for brands like Neutrogena, Absolut Vodka, T-Mobile, Porsche, L’oreal, Lancome, Garnier, J Balvin, etc.  These portraits represent the colorful and true version of humans. No fear, no judgment, just a funky tropical aura that explodes into bursts of color while representing an actual person or identity.

The concept of turning something or someone unusual is what makes every portrait unique.  Bianca has taken the challenge to spread the importance of embracing yourself through color, glitter, and diverse patterns to ensure that everyone can embrace their true self without judgment.
